It started with
a dump trailer.

In 2021 Todd bought one to move wood around the property. Neighbors started asking for help hauling things away — and neighbors became customers, across Marshall and beyond.

In Todd's words

From Pittsford to Marshall.

I grew up in Pittsford, Michigan, about an hour from Marshall. After high school I joined the Army — overseas during Desert Storm, stateside after, working on helicopters. My wife and I raised two daughters and traveled extensively before we settled in Marshall.

In 2021 I bought a dump trailer to move wood around the property. Pretty soon my wife and I were helping neighbors haul things away — and before long, neighbors became customers across Marshall and beyond. Today Marshall Hauling handles junk removal and dumpster rentals for homeowners, realtors, estates, contractors, manufacturers and warehouses.

If you need it gone, give us a call and we'll take care of the rest.

Who shows up

A small crew, on purpose.

Marshall Hauling isn't a franchise with a call center. When you ring (517) 812-0218, you get Todd. When the truck pulls in, it's Todd again, usually with one other person. That's it.

It means we can't be everywhere at once, and we'll tell you honestly if we're booked. It also means nobody hands your job to a subcontractor, nobody quotes one number and charges another, and the person who promised you a two-hour window is the person driving.

Customers keep writing the same three things in reviews: he showed up when he said, the price was what he quoted, and he swept up before he left. Those aren't marketing claims. They're just the job done properly.

There truly are not enough superlatives to express how I feel about Marshall Hauling. From my initial inquiry through the completion of my project, Todd was professional, kind, prompt, honest, and simply fantastic.

Where it goes

We sort before we dump.

Usable furniture, appliances and working electronics go to Habitat for Humanity and other local charities. Metal, e-waste and box springs get recycled. Only what genuinely can't be used or recycled gets disposed of, and it gets disposed of properly. Sorting costs us time on every job. We do it anyway.

Where we work

Calhoun, Branch, Jackson, Kalamazoo counties.

Out of the yard on 17 Mile Road, reaching most of southern Michigan between Battle Creek and Jackson.

Good communication, showed up when they said they would, and everything went smooth from start to finish. It's always nice doing business with a local company that takes care of people.

Todd is great. We have used Marshall Hauling for a few years now and I've always had a great experience. They are quick to respond and do a great job at reasonable prices, plus they are local.
