How an estate cleanout actually runs
It starts with a walkthrough — in person or from photos — and an exact quote before anything moves. On the day, we work room by room, and anything you flag gets set aside, even if you flag it while it's on the way to the trailer; people change their minds mid-cleanout on every job and that's fine. Usable furniture and household goods go to local charities including Habitat for Humanity, metal and electronics get recycled, and the floors are swept before we pull out. Most houses are done in a single day.
What an estate or property cleanout costs
A whole-house clearing usually lands in our full-trailer range, $450–$750, and a partial cleanout — one floor, a garage, a hoard in two rooms — often sits in the $275–$450 half-trailer tier. The exact number depends on volume and access, you hear it on site before we start, and there's no charge for the estimate. If the family wants to do some of the sorting themselves first, a dumpster in the driveway for a weekend can be the cheaper opening move — we'll say so honestly.
